Selmer Paris Radio Improved Alto - Silver Plated (1934)

Made in 1934, an incredible Selmer Radio Improved. Almost 100 years old! 

Saxes from this era can be really interesting, being the predecessor to the SBA and the Mark VI. Here we have an incredibly rare silver plated Radio Improved. The saxophone has benefited a complete overhaul in our workshop and it plays amazing. 
 
This particular sax is extremely rare- being silver plated and in such good condition for it's age. This sax was made before the modern ergonomics and key lay out existed, and as such, the table keys, octave mechanism and thumb rest may feel a little foreign to some players. It has an amazing, dark, soft sound hard to come by in modern altos. This is such a rare find that we'd almost classify this as a collectors item. Comes with a soft green gig bag.
